Rigging & Hoisting Fundamentals Course Information

The 1 Day, (8 Hour), Rigging & Hoisting Course consists of the following:

Classroom Portion:

• Responsibilities
• Lift Planning
• Critical Lifts
• Rigging Identification
• Makeshift Rigging
• Slings
• Hardware
• Calculating Load Weights
• Inspection of Slings and Hardware
• Calculating Sling Tension
• Load Control

This course is applicable for overhead crane and mobile crane end users and riggers.  The course consists of instructions and exercises followed by a quiz that can be kept in the employee’s personnel records. The passing mark is 80%.

It is the employer’s responsibility to determine the competency of their employees.
